we are ready to go trekking By Tomorrow morning we are planning to start trekking Today, we decided to stay in a nearby village called Kigwema There is an MAO Market in Kohima From there you will get a taxi, which could fall around 50rupees, you can board a taxi there and Get down at Japfu Christian College Try to get a stay for tonight there plan accordingly, we have booked a place near the college There is a Guest House called Native Stories so we have booked there We have planned to stay here for tonight and start trekking by tomorrow morning We are planning for 2 nights in dzukou valley.

How to reach dzukou valley

let's see how it goes, we are going to Dzukou valley from homestay There is no car's nearby on the road so we are planning to do like hitchhiking otherwise, we have to take share taxi which is not available on the early morning or private taxi which is costly, let us see We did hitchhiking in front of our guest house its very easy to get lift on Nagaland we went directly from guest house to To Dzukou valley trekking point Which is From kigwema to Viswema village From guesthouse its 10 Kilometers This vehicle going on the same route he dropped us at the Viswema Village, Dzukou valley Entry Point it's easy now, otherwise we have to take a private taxi which is costly.

Dzukou valley trek

now we are at Dzukou valley entry point We have to pay Rs100 as an entry fee here for trekking and we have to pay Rs200 for camera now we have to go from Dzukou entry point to trekking starting point which is 8 kilometres above from here to go there, they charge you around 1500 rupees for Taxi From there it will take 3 hours of trekking to reach dzukou valley point We have no idea, how to reach There were 3 people who prefered coming in a budget like us We two and they were 3 members, totally we were 5 members we spoken with taxi drivers they charged us around 1500 rupees for a drive of 8 kilometers it's very expensive though we were seeing for other trekkers who is going to the top by taxi so we could ask them for lift like planning to do hitchhiking till the top, that was our plan actually We were waiting there for about 15 minutes to get a ride meanwhile, we found a load-carrying lorry passing that way So, we asked them, then they accepted to drop us, with their help we reached here we reached the stop without any expense actually for free, by this way we saved around 1500 rupees from there we are starting our trekking journey while you are standing in the entry point you can see many people passing that way you can even join them for share taxi which will cost around Rs150 to Rs200 they will allow 5-6 peoples in a vehicle, or tata sumo which could carry 10 peoples in a ride so you could share with them or else you can even get a lift We are doing trekking about 1 hour now it seems from here it's like 1.30 hours more the people who are boarding down after trekking said us so its was hard for stepping forward during the start Ahead of that, it's a straightway it is easy after then You won't be needing any guide for your reference You can see some Arrow marks for reference In some places the way gets split up into two they have placed some stones over those places while other places have an arrow mark by seeing that you can reach the top you should judge for two Sometimes, if you search for stones or arrows, you can find the right way. You don't need any guide for your reference. You can go by yourself. Now we are walking near Dzukou valley.

Cost of stay and food at dzukou valley

it will cost for the staying and the food Let's see how much they charge for food and staying About the experience and the cost, we will know only when we reach there I will let you know once I reach there im talking a walk as you can see The way is too slippery because of rain here you can see an arrow mark At last, we have reached the dzukou valley after 3 hours of trekking, we reached here the place is already crowded before even we reach here A lot of people came here by tour packages its very costly to come here by package we asked for packages, its cost around 4000 to 8000 per person so that we came by yourself In Dzukou valley, there is a lot of places to have a view and it's so amazing to see we reached here, in the evening we also had dormitory rooms to stay, we stayed here You can also carry your own tent with you. you have to pay Rs100 for the tent place if you don't have a tent, you can rent it here they charge Rs1000 for that better you bring your own tent it's about Rs2000 for a new tent, so you can go with that. We are planning to explore in the morning.

Best time to visit dzukou valley

In dzukou valley, Lily flower is so famous it blooms on June to July During those months it seems to bloom we are trekking here to see those flowers yesterday we stayed on dormitory In the morning we started our journey going to see those flowers it's so slippery here you can see that because of heavy rain yesterday night, its little hard to walk have to walk very carefully it's so slippery, you don't have to worry if you come here in summer but the flowers bloom only during the monsoon so it will be helpful to see, only during that season while you are coming be careful, it's so slippery.

Dzukou valley flower & experience at dzukou valley

when we did trekking yesterday it wasn't that difficult, here people don't use this way so often so what it's so slippery the way goes steep down I think it's so hard when we walk back from here I don't know how the flowers seem to look like people said it's very famous here, that's why I decided to come our friends are going ahead of us everyone comes here for seeing those flowers. see here how am I going to walk here? it's so muddy and slippery it's so hard Unfortunately yesterday my camera fell down and the lens is broken so it seems to be kind of tilted I can only check that once i reach back home have to fix that soon I have to use with this lens no other go, I don't have another set of lens im using it with single lens This place looks so Beautiful we are back from trekking we planning to start away from here time is 11am now if we start here by 11:30, we will reach down within 3 hours from here We stayed on this dormitory It's like a hall, they charged around Rs50 for this if you need floor mat additional charge of Rs50 is added for bedsheet Rs50 everything is a matter of money They have to bring all those stuffs from down till here, may be that's why they add charges i hope so they charge for Dormitory around Rs50, for bed sheet around 50, for floor mat around 50 the cost of stay for a single person would fall around Rs150 For food, they cost Rs200 per meal, which is vegetarian It's better if you bring your own foods, snacks, breads and stuff you can eat one meal from them and also don't forget to take your water bottle with you while going trekking its very very hard to climb without having water for long time just now i faced it, i could not climb i managed to borrow water from neighbours nearby and reached here.

Total cost for trekking at dzukou valley

Okay, let's carry on the total cost of stay then the Entry fee and the meal which we ate there, two meals per day Totally it cost around Rs1000 for Two people if we prefer by package, its would be around Rs4000-8000 this is the way to come in a budget trip so do prefer the way like we did not need to go for a package while you come here You can come here by your own, do come and enjoy Now, we are finishing the dzukou valley trekking video We came down after 2.5 hours of trekking.
